Located deep in the vaults of London’s Palladium, both the name and the careful restoration of its original architectural features combine to pay homage to an earlier time when Masons owned nearly every building on Argyll Street.
Eamonn Mulholland, Marc Merran, and Jean Philippe Kley, the owners of Mason House, have already achieved spectacular success at Movida, Aura and Chinawhite. With this unique venue, they’ve spared no expense in the attempt to take the visitor back to the days when Masons ruled the street. The result: an atmosphere that is at once stylish and unique with an international flair that announces itself from the moment the patron walks through the door.
Having first entered through a crypt, the visitor will emerge into a 5,000-square-foot space that resembles a Masonic temple. He can then choose to remain under the cozy, restored-brick arches of the multi-level Main Club Room or attempt to gain entry into the more preferential Room 33.
Guests to the Main Club Room can choose to partake of waitress service while seated comfortably on leather banquets at one of the room’s 30 tables. Others might prefer to drink bottle-style at its Victorian-themed, oak wood bars or cut the rug on a checkered dance floor that dazzles in black and white.
The more exclusive, invitation-only Room 33 offers alternative music to a special set of guests. Entry is through a secret door, and only the privileged few will learn what’s really behind it.
OF course, every nightclub must have music. At Mason House, a high-tech Funktion One sound system directed by world-renowned DJs will rock the entire club, and live performers will appear with regularity. The club has already garnered some excellent press, from well known insiders such as Time Out and Design My Night.
Don’t miss out on a visit to this newest jewel in London’s nightlife crown. Mason House promises to be a hit, and its central location on Argyll Street is less than a minute from the Oxford Circus tube, making it easily accessible to all.
